I heard Mark Messier is playing in the Sports Legends Challenge this fall. Does anyone know how you can enter to compete with him in the event?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-156394541175959476.post-55368328912254417722009-05-29T03:34:23.797-07:002009-05-29T03:34:23.797-07:00It's not a matter of touching the trophy, it's how...It's not a matter of touching the trophy, it's how much the team celebrates the slightly lower trophy. I noticed that when a team overcelebrates before they win the Stanley Cup, they lose the big one. That's why teams that are finals 'virgins' don't win the Stanley Cup.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-156394541175959476.post-78296358155171634312009-05-27T15:12:46.346-07:002009-05-27T15:12:46.346-07:00The whole bad-karma-mojo thing is a lot of superst...The whole bad-karma-mojo thing is a lot of superstitious bunk, the examples you provide show at a glance that there really is no correlation between whether you touch or if you win. And the evidence right there may even show the opposite correlation: if you touch it, you have a better chance of winning!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17212373169487401401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-156394541175959476.post-1866786586920460162009-05-27T13:31:03.958-07:002009-05-27T13:31:03.958-07:00See www.post-gazette.com/penguins and the articles...See www.post-gazette.com/penguins and the articles there for the 91 and 92 Penguins Cup Winners. Lemieux did touch it both times and the Pens won. Also, Crosby apparently talked to Bill Guerin before grabbing the hardware and Guerin gave the go-ahead nod. They didn't last year and lost, so why not this year?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06008247462838696690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-156394541175959476.post-1980774163381987682009-05-27T13:19:00.070-07:002009-05-27T13:19:00.070-07:00Who the hell cares. The fact that the Pens touched showed they realize there is nothing to it. Fact two is that only one team gets to win their respective conference titles, same with the regular season overall points title, so it is still an accomplisment. Wonder if Barca and Man U tocuhed their trophy for their league wins. It's the same thing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-156394541175959476.post-28715657962564534302009-05-27T13:11:10.921-07:002009-05-27T13:11:10.921-07:002001 Stevens should be no. The one time he didn't pick up the trophy was 2001, and they lost.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-156394541175959476.post-58934315336075152042009-05-27T12:33:40.945-07:002009-05-27T12:33:40.945-07:00Added some of the new dates and revised the number...Added some of the new dates and revised the numbers.
